2010 Saleen S281

These images are the first full shots we've seen of the 2010 version of the Saleen S281, featuring all the new body work (and then some) of the latest-generation pony car. Though details on Saleen's newest beast have been spared an early arrival, we can see that many of the trademark styling characteristics we've come to expect from Saleen-badged vehicles are present on the '10 S281. It's important to note that Steve Saleen himself is no longer affliated with Saleen vehicles and is now heading up SMS Supercars.
A ribbed, blacked-out rear panel is present between the tail lights while a subtle body-color lip spoiler rests just above and a black diffuser sits beneath. The front valance has been tweaked too, with a revised blacked-out grille, a black chin-spoiler, and a menacing-looking hood scoop. Small Saleen badges flank the front fenders, while special side skirts complete the ground effects along the S281's rocker panels.

Other touches include a racy-looking three-quarter vent where a window appears on the stock 'Stang, and rather large six-spoke alloy wheels -- we'd guess they're at least 20-inchers. Quad square exhaust tips round out the rear, and we'd imagine they're attached to a higher-flowing (and meaner-sounding) performance exhaust system. The car also appears to be sitting a little lower than stock.
For more on the 2010 Saleen S281, you're likely going to have to wait for our complete SEMA coverage live from the show floor later this week. Until then, enjoy the photos!
